Shared Thinking vs Solo Thinking (+Video)

Image
People say that if you want to go fast, you can go alone, but if you want to go far, you need to go with others. This is a major difference between shared thinking and solo-thinking. Have you ever seen someone who started a project alone and took it to conclusion alone? In Shared Thinking, you recruit other people whose thoughts will help you go far with your endeavours and you join forces with them. You don't do solo thinking to go far. Most times, actually, in these fast-paced days, you need to be able to collaborate with other good thinkers to be able to have quick results. 3 key Differences between Shared Thinking and Solo-thinking Shared thinking is good for innovation. Innovative thinking always utilizes shared thinking and not solo-thinking. Note also that Shared thinking breeds maturity. When you are able to hook up with what another person has done, you grow in maturity. Other people's experience will make it easier than you trying to get the experience first-han

How To Hack Your Brain | Meg Thomas

Image
Hi there,  In one of my videos. I mentioned that every worker has his or her tools. A worker without a tool can't accomplish his mission and a worker without the right tools will exert energy, burn out and turn out frustrated without reaching the targeted goal. But the worker with the right tool and the knowledge of the usage of the right tool will be efficient, and effective and will produce massive results. We are created with the capacity to analyze, process information and solve problems and your brain is the tool for your productivity.   Your brain is designed to keep you safe at all times. It can resist your true intent if you don't practice how to keep it on track and foster holistic growth through the power of mindfulness.   Mindfulness is maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings and bodily sensations, and our surrounding environment.   The ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we are doing at times and not overly reactive

THE PROCESS OF REFLECTIVE THINKING | VIDEO | Meg Thomas

Image
You know how you feel when you succeed. And when you fail. Now, note that you can repeat those successes and reduce failure. This is where Reflective thinking comes in. According to John C. Maxwell, "Reflective Thinking is the consistent act of evaluating past experiences to repeat successes and avoid failure."  So, please note this: If your organisation/business keeps recording repeated cycles of failure, you are not engaging reflective thinking. Do you agree or disagree? You may want to check out my explanation in the video below. In it, you will meet the various questions you need to ask in reflective thinking to cut that cycle of failure. Few more points in Reflective Thinking Important Steps in reflective thinking: 1. Ask questions 2. Investigate 3. Create a forward plan Please watch the video above for more details in reflective thinking...

How Crucial is Possibility Thinking? (Watch Video)

Image
Possibility Thinking is allowing yourself to think possibilities, moving away from the given into thinking “this can happen”. It is where you choose to think possibility despite facts. Take for example, you could be tempted to reason that your life will reflect the tough economy in your part of the country. It could be true that the obstacles and harsh conditions are present and staring you in the face; but ‘Possibility Thinking’ is your tool to break through. Remember Myles Munroe’s words; “the future you are looking for is trapped on your inside”. So, despite the situation around you, there is a tool within you for breaking out. One of the tools God has given to us is your mind; you need to know how to engage it during crisis. This is what ‘Possibility thinking’ is about. Now, according to John Maxwell, “Possibility Thinking” is a way to see possibilities everywhere instead of limitations. Read this: To be a possibility thinker, you must learn to be comfortable with failure.

Impact of Delayed Action

Image
Hello friends, I am super excited that you stopped by at my blog today to add to your knowledge. Today we will be looking at the impact of delayed actions. And also at right actions, strategic actions, smart actions.  The word 'action' means the process of doing something, typically to achieve an aim. Every day we see different kind of actions in display.  And things to note; - The motives behind them differentiate one action from another.  - The people carrying out the actions qualify or quantify the actions. - The urgency of the action ascertain the timing for the action. It is not enough to make decisions,  you must follow up and follow through with action steps.   We see in the Bible in  Joel 3:14;  "Thousand upon thousands are waiting in the valley of decisions." Many are stuck in the valley of decisions. There is a huge difference between decisions and actions. That you decided doesn't mean you have done it. Many are sitting on decisions that will never beco

The Consequences of Your Decisions

Image
Hello friends, happy new month! I am glad to come your way again and thank you for visiting my blog. Today, we are going to be looking at the consequences of decisions. Every day decisions are being made at individual level, family level, group level, corporate level; managerial etc. Your decisions could be major decisions or minor decisions but one thing is common between the two; they both have consequences.  The decisions you made yesterday, is what is playing out in your life and your space today. It is often said, you cannot change your past but you can plan your future by the decisions you make today.  For example; if you keep making decisions to shut out people completely from your life, you will end up a lonely person in no time. If you think you have no decision to make concerning your life, you have just decided to fail. So, it is obvious that decisions can be made knowingly and unknowingly. For some people they only get to realize the decisions they made when the consequence
