A Higher Call
Hello friend, I'm so glad to have you visit my blog. Today my presentation is brief but very crucial.
"Thus says the Lord of Hosts: Consider your ways! Go up the mountains and bring wood and build the temple, that l may take pleasure in it and be glorified," says the Lord (Haggai 1:7-8).
I pondered over this scripture and asked questions like 'why mountains? Why not forest? Are there no trees in the forest?' But God specifically said 'GO UP' the mountains. All the Holy Spirit laid in my heart is that asides the truth that God is a God of specificity, He commands upward movement at all cost.
I would think 'go into the forest' and get wood to build my temple would have been an easy task but He is a God of precision and is given to principles and standards, 'cos He intends for man to understand the sacredness of His rulership.
The era of careless service to God is over, if we must manifest true sonship on earth and teach principalities the manifold wisdom of God, then our obedience must be intact.
Going up the mountain to fetch wood was going to be a daunting task but He still asked them to do it.
Lessons from this scripture are;
- Your service to God must be Sacrificial
- Your service must be informed by His word
- Your service must be top priority
- Your service must be informed by His word
- Your service must be top priority
For God to be glorified, it means honour to the vessel through whom the glory came. (Haggai 2:9).
My friend, your calling is the ultimate, not your job. If you need the covenant to work for you get your obedience in place. He is calling out to you ' Go Up' and get ready to put the structure that can house His glory. Put yourself in line with God word and run with the assignment while He puts the glory on your life.
It is a high calling and must be treated with urgency and sacredness. If you are reading this and haven't received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, Pls ask Him into your heart and plead for His mercies. Your body is His temple that houses the glory. Step out of the crowd, from the ordinary and from mundane things and watch the glory rest upon your life in Jesus name.
Thank you for stopping by. Pls share this with family and friends and do stop by again. Shalom!
